The connection between the
Seventh DayNot only is there a very distinct connection between YAHWEH’s
Blessed Seventh Day
Sabbath and His Annual Sabbath Days, His
plan of Redemption and
Restoration of mankind are revealed in them.
In order to prove the connection between
YAHWEH’s Blessed Seventh Day Sabbath and Annual Sabbath Days, and that YAHWEH’s plan of restoration is actually revealed in them, we must learn about each one of them by starting with His Blessed Seventh Day Sabbath first.Genesis 2
(I) Thus the Heavens and the Earth were finished, and all the host of them. (2) And on the Seventh Day Elohim ended His work which HE had made; and HE rested on the Seventh Day from all His work which He had made. (3) And Elohim blessed the Seventh Day, and sanctified it: because that in it HE had rested from all His work which Elohim created and made.YAHshua
kept, blessed and sanctified the Seventh Day Sabbath and rested from His work as did His Father. In fact, YAHshua tells us that He is Sovereign even of the Sabbath Day.Matthew 12
(8) For the Son of man is Sovereign even of the Sabbath Day.Before proceeding, I need to make the following observation: Second to
YAHWEH and YAHshua and their Righteousness, the main focus in the scriptures is the past, present, and future history of the relationship of YAHWEH and His Chosen People, *Israel. High points of this past, present, and future history of that relationship can be seen in the Seventh Day Sabbath as well as in all of the Annual Holy Days and the related Sabbatical years. "Israel," includes the Gentiles that joined with them starting with the mixed multitude (Exodus 12:37-38) that came with them out of Egypt. It also includes the Righteous Remnant of Israel with the Grafted in Gentiles (Romans 11:1-32).*
The name "Israel" has a very special meaning & prophesy connected to it which most people do not understand. "The Scriptures 98" Version of the Bible with the footnote therein makes it very clear.Gen 32:28
And He said, "Your name is no longer called, Yaaqob, but Yisra’ĕl1, because you have striven with Elohim and with men, and have overcome." Footnote: 1Yisra’ĕl means "to strive with Ěl, to overcome with Ěl, (then) to rule with Ěl"Before
YAHWEH wrote the Ten Commandments on the stone tablets with His finger, He made sure that the Children of Israel knew about His Seventh Day Sabbath. He even tested them with it as He taught them the importance of obeying His commands.Exodus 16
(4) Then said YAHWEH unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in MY law, or no. … (23) And he said unto them, This is that which YAHWEH hath said, To morrow is the rest of the Holy Sabbath unto YAHWEH: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. (24) And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. (25) And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a Sabbath unto YAHWEH: to day ye shall not find it in the field. (26) Six days ye shall gather it; but on the Seventh Day, which is the Sabbath, in it there shall be none. (27) And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the Seventh Day for to gather, and they found none. (28) And YAHWEH said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep MY Commandments and MY Laws? (29) See, for that YAHWEH hath given you the Sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the Seventh Day. (30) So the people rested on the Seventh Day. (31) And the House of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. The
Seventh Day Sabbath was important enough to YAHWEH that He made the observance of it the fourth of the Ten Commandments.Exodus 20
(8) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: (10) But the Seventh Day is the Sabbath of YAHWEH thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (11) For in six days YAHWEH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the Seventh Day: wherefore YAHWEH blessed the Sabbath Day, and hallowed it.YAHWEH
also proclaimed that the Sabbath Day was to be 1: It is a sign between Himself and HIS People forever. 2: It is a reminder that YAHWEH is our Creator. 3: It is a reminder that YAHWEH rested on it after six days of creating. 4: It is a reminder that YAHWEH set it apart for us to rest on it. 5: It is a reminder that it is YAHWEH who sanctifies us. It was so important to YAHWEH that He decreed a death penalty for anyone violating it.Exodus 31
(13) Speak thou also unto the Children of Israel, saying, Verily MY Sabbath ye shall keep: for it is a sign between ME and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YAHWEH that doth sanctify you. (14) Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. (15) Six days may work be done; but in the Seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to YAHWEH: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath Day, he shall surely be put to death. (16) Wherefore the Children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. (17) It is a sign between ME and the Children of Israel for ever: for in six days YAHWEH made Heaven and Earth, and on the Seventh Day HE rested, and was refreshed. Here comes a very very important connection between
YAHWEH’S Seventh Day Sabbath & the Annual Sabbath Days. YAHWEH gave His Sabbaths (plural i.e. the Seventh Day Sabbath & the Annual Sabbaths) to be a sign between Himself and HIS People.Ezekiel 20
(10) Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. (11) And I gave them MY statutes, and showed them MY judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them. (12) Moreover also I gave them MY Sabbaths, to be a sign between ME and them, that they might know that I am YAHWEH that sanctify them. The following scripture shows more connection between the
Seventh Day Sabbath & the Annual Sabbaths. They are all Set Apart Days of YAHWEH and they are all shadows of things to come.Colossians 2
(16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the New Moon, or of the Sabbath days: (17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Messiah. In Leviticus twenty-three we find the
Seventh Day Sabbath & the Annual Sabbaths linked together with a common theme. YAHWEH told them that they are His appointed Times and that He requires holy convocations and a commanded day of rest on them. (The Leviticus twenty-three scriptures are quoted from "The Scriptures 98" Version.)Lev 23:1
And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, 2 "Speak to the Children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘The appointed times of hvhy, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, My Appointed Times, are these:(Seven
of these Appointed Times are Annual Sabbaths, but the Seventh Day Sabbath is listed as the first Appointed Time.)Lev 23:3 ‘Six days work is done, but the
Seventh Day is a Sabbath of rest, a set-apart gathering. You do no work, it is a Sabbath to hvhy in all your dwellings. In the Book of Hebrews and Revelation, we find that not only is the
keeping of the Seventh Day Sabbath for now, but it also is a shadow of a rest to come (i.e. the one thousand-year rule with Messiah.)Heb 4:1
Therefore, since a promise remains of entering into His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the Good News was brought to us as well as to them, but the word which they heard did not profit them, not having been mixed with belief in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, as He has said, "As I swore in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest..." And yet His works have come into being from the foundation of the world. 4 For somewhere He has said thus about the Seventh Day, "And Elohim rested on the Seventh Day from all His works," 5 and in this again, "If they shall enter into My rest..." 6 Since then it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly received the Good News did not enter in because of disobedience,1 Footnote: 1See 3:18. *[on this footnote, see my comment below] 7 He again defines a certain day, "Today," saying through Dawiḏ so much later, as it has been said, "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.": 8 For if Yehoshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. 9 So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the People of Elohim. 10 For the one, having entered into His rest, has himself also rested from his works, as Elohim rested from His own. 11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.1 Footnote: 1See 3:18. (The Scriptures 98)*
Comment: The footnote for 3:18 reads: "Obedience is the fruit of belief, and disobedience proves that one does not truly believe." That seems to me to be of equal status as these words spoken by James.James 2
(17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (18) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. The
Seventh Day Sabbath is the shadow of the one thousand year rule with YAHshua Messiah when the Earth will be at peace while that old serpent, which is the devil, and satan, is bound for the thousand years. (That rule takes place after the Resurrection of the Saints.)Revelation 20
(I) And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (2) And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (3) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of YAHshua, and for the word of YAHWEH, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his Mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years. (5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be Priests of YAHWEH and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Those who attain the first Resurrection will certainly qualify to
rule as they will have the same characteristics or attributes (i.e. YAHWEH’S spirit) that YAHshua has that qualifies Him. We have a part of that spirit now.II Corinthians 5
(I) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of YAHWEH, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (2) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from Heaven: (3) If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. (4) For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. (5) Now HE that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is YAHWEH, WHO also hath given unto us the *earnest of the Spirit.G728. arrhabon, ar-hrab-ohn'; of Heb. or. [H6162]; a pledge, i.e. part of the purchase-money or property given in advance as security for the rest:--earnest. (STRONGS)
In fact, we will also have a body fashioned like unto His glorious body.
Philippians 3
(20) For our conversation is in Heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Sovereign YAHshua Messiah: (21) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.Continuing in Leviticus 23: These
appointed Times are so important to YAHWEH that He made sure that Israel understood by saying a second time within the first four verses of Leviticus 23 that they are His appointed Times and that He requires holy convocations on them!Lev 23:4 ‘These are the Appointed Times of hvhy, set-apart gatherings which you are to proclaim at their appointed Times.
The first
appointed Time after YAHWEH’s Seventh Day Sabbath is the His Passover Sacrifice on the fourteenth day of the first month. It is not an Annual Sabbath.Lev 23:5
‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the *Passover [sacrifice] to יהוה.*
H6453. pecach, peh'-sakh; from H6452; a pretermission, i.e. exemption; used only tech. of the Jewish Passover (the festival or the victim):--passover (offering). STRONGSIn this case it means the victim i.e. the Passover Victim/Sacrifice/Lamb as required between the evenings and it was to be eaten that night which was the beginning of the Days of Unleavened Bread.
Exo 12:5
‘Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl shall kill it between the evenings. 7 ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. 8 ‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire – with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. (The Scriptures 98)Before we move on to Leviticus 23:6 and the
Days of Unleavened Bread, let us look at how YAHWEH’S Passover Sacrifice on the fourteenth day of the first month is a shadow of things to come:The
Passover Sacrifice on the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings was a shadow of YAHshua Messiah the Lamb of YAHWEH being sacrificed for our sins in the middle of the two evenings which was about the ninth hour.Luke 23
(44) And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. (45) And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. (46) And when YAHshua had cried with a loud voice, He said, FATHER, into THY hands I commend My spirit, and having said thus, He gave up the spirit.YAHshua Messiah
the Lamb of YAHWEH was our Passover! (Even Paul knew that Passover Season was still an Appointed Time/Festival of YAHWEH. He tied the unleavened bread with it too.)1Co 5:7
Therefore cleanse out the old leaven, so that you are a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Messiah our Passover was offered for us. 8 So then let us observe the festival, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of evil and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (The Scriptures 98)Continuing in Leviticus 23: There are two
Annual Sabbaths during the Seven Days of Unleavened Bread. The first and the last days require a set-apart gathering and a day of rest.Lev 23:6
‘And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to hvhy – seven days you eat unleavened bread. 7 ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. 8 ‘And you shall bring an offering made by fire to hvhy for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.’ "The
Wave Sheaf Offering takes place on the day after the Seventh Day Sabbath during the Festival of Unleavened Bread.Lev 23:9
And hvhy spoke to Mosheh, saying, 10 "Speak to the Children of Yisra’ĕl, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before hvhy, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it. 12 ‘And on that day when you wave the sheaf, you shall prepare a male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a burnt offering to hvhy, 13 and its grain offering: two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to hvhy, a sweet fragrance, and its drink offering: one-fourth of a hin of wine. 14 ‘And you do not eat bread or roasted grain or fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your Elohim – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.Let us look at how the
Days of Unleavened Bread and the Wave Sheaf Offering of the First Fruits are a shadow of things to come:It was during the day after the
Seventh Day Sabbath during the Days of Unleavened Bread that YAHshua had already risen that He was ascending to the Father. He was fulfilling the Wave Sheaf Offering of the First Fruits.John 20
(1) The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher. (2) Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom YAHshua loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Sovereign out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid Him…. (17) YAHshua saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My FATHER: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My FATHER, and your FATHER; and to My Elohim, and your Elohim. In fulfilling the
Wave Sheaf Offering of the First Fruits He became the Firstfruits.I Corinthians 15
(20) But now is Messiah risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (21) For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive. (23) But every man in his own order: Messiah the firstfruits; afterward they that are Messiah's at His coming. The entire
Passover Season which included the Passover sacrifice between the evenings on the fourteenth day of the first month and the Days of Unleavened Bread that followed are shadows of things to come. They were a shadow of the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of YAHshua, the unleavened (i.e. sinless) Lamb of YAHWEH which taketh away the sin of the world. The
shadow of the Unleavened Bread itself was not only of the sinless YAHshua, but it is also a shadow of the Body of Messiah (i.e. the Assembly) who are to live lives without the leavening of sin as we as the Bride are being made ready for the Marriage of the Lamb of YAHWEH.Perhaps the next
shadow of the entire Passover Festival Season (including the Days of Unleavened Bread" will be when the Assembly follows YAHshua footsteps in a three and one half years of a highly charged ministry ending with the powers that be (i.e. the beast) stopping their ministry at the last Passover Season before YAHshua returns on the "Memorial of Clamor" or as commonly called, the "Feast of Trumpets." I suggest that this is the fulfillment of Revelation 11:1-11. Just like their Master YAHshua, the true Assembly are the ones who have both the LAW and the Testimony. (It has been my belief for many decades that the two witness spoken of here is the LAW and the Testimony. Isaiah 8 says, "(16) Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples." … "(20) To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.")If we think that we
are unleavened and we do not observe the festival which has the first and last day being Annual Sabbaths and YAHWEH says that they are a *sign between Him and His People, how can we still claim to be YAHWEH’S People and expect to be called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?*
Ezekiel 20 (12) Moreover also I gave them MY Sabbaths, to be a sign between ME and them, that they might know that I am YAHWEH that sanctify them.Rev 19:6
And I heard as the voice of a great crowd, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunders, saying, "HalleluYAH, for hvhy Ěl Shaddai reigns! 7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the Marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife prepared herself." 8 And to her it was given to be dressed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the set-apart ones. 9 And he said to me, "Write, ‘Blessed are those who have been called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!’ " And he said to me, "These are the true words of Elohim." TO BE CONTINUEDPart
Two continued from page six of"The connection between the Seventh Day Sabbath and the Annual Sabbath Days"
Before continuing this article, I should add here that the entire
Passover Season which included the Passover sacrifice between the evenings on the fourteenth day of the first month and the Days of Unleavened Bread coincided to the Barley Harvest in Israel. The Barley Harvest ended and the Wheat Harvest began fifty days after the waving of the Wave Sheaf Offering of the First Fruits. That day was to be another Annual Sabbath with a Set Apart gathering with no servile work done on it.Lev 23:15
‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths. 16 ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to hvhy. 17 ‘Bring from your dwellings for a wave offering two loaves of bread, of two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour they are, baked with leaven, first-fruits to hvhy. 18 ‘And besides the bread, you shall bring seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, and one young bull and two rams. They are a burnt offering to hvhy, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet fragrance to hvhy. 19 ‘And you shall offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old, as a peace offering. 20 ‘And the priest shall wave them, besides the bread of the first-fruits, as a wave offering before hvhy, besides the two lambs. They are set-apart to hvhy for the priest. 21 ‘And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.(The above
Annual Sabbath Day is called Festival of Weeks of the First-fruits of Wheat Harvest in Exodus 34:22.)Exo 34:22
"And perform the Festival of Weeks for yourself, of the First-Fruits of Wheat Harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year. (The Scriptures 98)How is the
Festival of Weeks of the First-Fruits of Wheat Harvest a shadow of things to come? The first thing to come was prophesied by Joel as is stated in The Acts of the Apostles. Keep in mind that the Apostles and the Assembly were keeping the Festival of Weeks (also called Pentecost in many New Covenant Scriptures) when Kĕpha explained that YAHWEH was giving His Spirit as promised.Act 2:1
And when the Day of the Festival of Weeks had come, they were all with one mind in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from the heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. … 14 But Kĕpha, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them, "Men of Yehudah and all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, let this be known to you, and listen closely to my words. 15 "For these men are not drunk, as you imagine, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 "But this is what was spoken by the prophet Yo’ĕl: 17 ‘And it shall be in the last days, says Elohim, that I shall pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams, 18 and also on My male servants and on My female servants I shall pour out My Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. 19 ‘And I shall show wonders in the heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapour of smoke. 20 ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and splendid day of hvhy. 21 ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of hvhy shall be saved.’1 Footnote: 1Joel 2:28-32, Rom. 10:13. (The Scriptures 98)On that Day of
Pentecost, which was fifty days after YAHshua's ascension, the New Assembly received its first substantial growth. In fact there were about three thousand beings added to the Assembly that day.Act 2:38
And Kĕpha said to them, "Repent, and let each one of you be immersed in the Name of יהושע Messiah for the forgiveness of sins.1 And you shall receive the gift of the Set-apart Spirit. Footnote: 1See 2:40, 3:19, 3:26. 39 "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, as many as hvhy our Elohim shall call." 40 And with many other words he earnestly witnessed and urged them, saying, "Be saved from this crooked generation."1 Footnote: 1Jer. 51:6, Phil. 2:15, Rev. 18:4. 41 Then those, indeed, who gladly received his word, were immersed. And on that day about three thousand beings were added to them. (The Scriptures 98)This was the beginning of the spiritual Harvest of YAHshua’s Wheat that was referred to by John the Baptiser and by YAHshua in the three following scriptures.
Matthew 3 (11) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but He that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire: (12) Whose fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor, and gather His Wheat into the garner; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matthew 10 (37) Then saith He unto His disciples, The Harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; (38) Pray ye therefore the Sovereign of the Harvest, that HE will send forth labourers into HIS Harvest.
Matthew 13 (24) Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: (25) But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. (26) But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. (27) So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares? (28) He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? (29) But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the Wheat with them. (30) Let both grow together until the Harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the Wheat into my barn. … (36) Then YAHshua sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. (37) He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; (38) The field is the world; the good seed are the Children of the Kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
I suggest that the
Feast of Weeks is a shadow of the time when those who became disciples during that three and one half year ministry of Revelation 11:1-11, will be imbued with an outpouring of YAHWEH’s holy Spirit fifty days latter on the Day of Pentecost just as was the first disciples of YAHshua in 31 AD. This would perhaps jumpstart the preparing the for the coming together of the unbelieving House of Juda and the unbelieving House of Israel. The next
shadow is found in Leviticus 23:23-25. (To my knowledge, this shadow has not as yet been fulfilled.)Lev 23:23
And hvhy spoke to Mosheh, saying, 24 "Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a rest, a *remembrance of blowing of trumpets, a set-apart gathering. 25 ‘You do no servile work, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to hvhy.’ " (The Scriptures 98)*
The Hebrew words (zikrown:H2146) & (teruw'ah:H8643) would probably be better translated as "Memorial of Clamor." However, it is more commonly called the "Feast of Trumpets." This was probably called that because trumpets were the main source of the clamoring. The most common use of the
trumpet was used to call the People together as seen below.Numbers 10
(1) And YAHWEH spake unto Moses, saying, (2) Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. The "
Memorial of Clamor" or the "Feast of Trumpets" is a shadow of things to come. It is a shadow of the calling together of YAHWEH’s Assembly of the Set-Apart Ones at Messiah's Coming! HalleluYAH!!!I Corinthians 15 (20) But now is
Messiah risen from the dead, and become the Firstfruits of them that slept. (21) For since by man came death, by man came also the Resurrection of the Dead. (22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive. (23) But every man in his own order: Messiah the Firstfruits; afterward they that are Messiah's at His coming … (51) Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory.Shaul also wrote to the Congregation at Thessalonica concerning
Messiah's Coming and the Resurrection from the Dead. He mentions that this would happen at the Trump of YAHWEH.I Thessalonians 4
(14) For if we believe that YAHshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in YAHshua will YAHWEH bring with Him. (15) For this we say unto you by the word of YAHWEH, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Sovereign shall not prevent them which are asleep. (16) For the Sovereign Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of YAHWEH: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first: (17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Sovereign in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Sovereign. Also, when the seventh
trumpet of the seventh seal of Revelation 11:15 is blown, the Messiah will come.Revelation 11
(15) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Elohim, and of HIS Messiah; and He shall reign for ever and ever. Can anyone doubt that when these things occur that there will be a
teru'ah (clamor or a loud sustained noise) from Heaven with the trump of YAHWEH and the shout, with the voice of the archangel?Just as those who are prepared will participate in that
teru'ah (clamor) at the Resurrection from the Dead with praise and joy, so shall there be a clamor of terror with weeping and gnashing of teeth from those who are not prepared. This is alluded to in the following scripture.Matthew 22
(1) And YAHshua answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, (2) The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, (3) And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. … (12) And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. (13) Then said the King to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (14) For many are called, but few are chosen. Now let us go back and set the stage, so to speak, for the above to happen (i.e., the coming of
Messiah on "Memorial of Clamor," commonly called "Feast of Trumpets".)Because
Israel rejected the Messiah, the Messenger of the New Covenant and the message of Salvation, YAHWEH turned to the gentiles. This was partially to provoke Israel to jealousy. (Paul also hoped that through his preaching to the gentiles he would provoke some of the Israelites to jealously.)Romans 11
(7) What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the Election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (8) (According as it is written, YAHWEH hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear [Isa 29:10; Deut 29:4];) unto this day. (9) And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompense unto them: (10) Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down their back alway [Psa 69:22-23]. (11) I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? YAHWEH forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. (12) Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? (13) For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: (14) If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.In the meantime,
Israelites still have the opportunity to be saved in the following manner.Romans 11
(23) And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for YAHWEH is able to graft them in again. (24) For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? (25) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (26) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away wickedness from Jacob: [Isa 59:20-21] (27) For this is MY Covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins [Jer 31:33; Isa 27:9].When will
Israel be provoked to jealousy and repent? They will be provoked when the fulness of the times of the Gentiles be come in and they see the Resurrection of the righteous dead at Messiah’s second coming on "Memorial of Clamor," commonly called "Feast of Trumpets"! HalleluYAH!!!What happens to the unrepentant
Israel prior to "the fulness of the times of the Gentiles be come in?"According to the prophet Zechariah, when
YAHshua, who I believe is the portion of YAHWEH that came in the flesh) comes back and his feet stand upon the Mount of Olives the city of Jerusalem was to have been taken by the nations of the world. (The Day of YAHWEH mentioned here is referring to YAHWEH'S wrath against Israel.)Zec 14:1
See, a day shall come for hvhy, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst. 2 And I shall gather all the gentiles to battle against Yerushalayim1. And the city shall be taken, the houses plundered, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into exile, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Footnote: 1Joel 3:2, Zeph. 3:8, Rev. 16:14.Here is what I think will take place during the days from
Messiah’s second coming on the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. (The Jewish people have always called this "The 10 Days of Awe.")Zec 14:3
And hvhy shall go forth, and He shall fight against those gentiles, as He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. 5 And you shall flee to the valley of My mountain – for the valley of the mountains reaches to Atsal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziyah sovereign of Yehudah. And hvhy my Elohim shall come – all the set-apart ones with You.Concerning that time, we find the following in the Book of Revelations.
Revelation 19
(11) And I saw Heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. (12) His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. (13) And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of YAHWEH. (14) And the armies which were in Heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (15) And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron [Psa. 2:9]: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty YAHWEH. (16) And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King of kings, and Sovereign of sovereigns.Continuing in Zechariah 14:
Zec 14:6
And in that day it shall be: there is no light, it is dark. 7 And it shall be one day which is known to hvhy, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light. 8 And in that day it shall be that living waters flow from Yerushalayim1, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea, in summer as well as in winter. Footnote: 1Rev. 22:1-2. 9 And hvhy shall be Sovereign over all the earth1. In that day there shall be one hvhy, and His Name one. Footnote: 1Isa. 24:23, Dan. 2:44, Rev. 11:15. 10 All the land shall be changed into a desert plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Yerushalayim, and she shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Binyamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hanan’ĕl to the winepresses of the sovereign. 11 And they shall dwell in her, and there shall be no more utter destruction, but Yerushalayim shall be safely inhabited. Footnote: 1Mal. 4:6.Therefore the "
Memorial of Clamor," commonly called "Feast of Trumpets," is a shadow of the Coming of Messiah and the Resurrection of the Saints and at which time He will take vengeance against the nations. That brings us to the next
shadow found in Leviticus twenty-three. (This shadow has not as yet been fulfilled.)Lev 23:26
And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, 27 "On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of *Atonement. It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. 28 "And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before hvhy your Elohim. 29 "For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. 30 "And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people. 31 "You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 ‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath." (The Scriptures 98)*
3722. kaphar, kaw-far'; a prim. root; to cover (spec. with bitumen); fig. to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel:--appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation).If you will read the entire chapter of Leviticus 16 concerning
Atonement, you will find that the main theme is the cleansing of Israel and the Temple with its contents built by the hand of man.Lev 16:15
"And he shall slaughter the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, and shall bring its blood inside the veil, and shall do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the lid of atonement and in front of the lid of atonement. 16 "And he shall make atonement for the Set-apart Place, because of the uncleanness of the Children of Yisra’ĕl, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so he does for the Tent of Meeting which is dwelling with them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 "And no man should be in the Tent of Meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Set-apart Place, until he comes out. And he shall make atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the Assembly of Yisra’ĕl. 18 "And he shall go out to the altar that is before hvhy, and make atonement for it. And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. 19 "And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and set it apart from the uncleanness of the Children of Yisra’ĕl. 20 "And when he has finished atoning for the Set-apart Place, and the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. 21 "Then Aharon shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and shall confess over it all the crookedness’s of the Children of Yisra’ĕl, and all their transgressions in all their sins, and shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man. 22 "And the goat shall bear on itself all their crookedness’s, to a land cut off. Thus he shall send the goat away into the wilderness. … 29 "And this shall be for you a law forever: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you afflict your beings, and do no work, the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. 30 "For on that day he makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before hvhy. 31 "It is a Sabbath of rest for you, and you shall afflict your beings – a law forever. 32 "And the priest, who is anointed and ordained to serve as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, the set-apart garments, 33 and he shall make atonement for the Most Set-apart Place, and make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar, and make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. 34 "And this shall be for you a law forever, to make atonement for the Children of Yisra’ĕl, for all their sins, once a year." And he did as hvhy commanded Mosheh. Also, if you will read the following scriptures concerning the
Jubilee Year and the Day of Atonement, you will find that the main theme is the rest, release, and restoration for the land as well as for YAHWEH’s People, Israel.Lev 25:1
And hvhy spoke to Mosheh on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 "Speak to the Children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall observe a Sabbath to hvhy. :3 ‘Six years you sow your field, and six years you prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruit, 4 but in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath of rest, a Sabbath to hvhy. Do not sow your field and do not prune your vineyard. 5 ‘Do not reap what grows of its own of your harvest, and do not gather the grapes of your un-pruned vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. 6 ‘And the Sabbath of the land shall be to you for food, for you and your servant, and for your female servant and your hired servant, and for the stranger who sojourns with you, 7 and for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land. All its crops are for food. 8 ‘And you shall count seven Sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years. And the time of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. 9 ‘You shall then sound a ram’s horn to pass through on the tenth day of the seventh month, on the Day of Atonement cause a ram’s horn to pass through all your land. 10 ‘And you shall set the fiftieth year apart, and proclaim release throughout all the land to all its inhabitants, it is a Jubilee for you. And each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you return to his clan. 11 ‘The fiftieth year is a Jubilee to you. Do not sow, nor reap what grows of its own, nor gather from its un-pruned vine. 12 ‘It is a Jubilee, it is set-apart to you. Eat from the field its crops. 13 ‘In the Year of this Jubilee let each one of you return to his possession. It is my opinion that the
rest, release, and restoration for YAHWEH’s People, Israel back to their own land will take place on the Day of Atonement on the tenth day of the seventh month following the second coming of Messiah during a Jubilee year after Israel’s repentance. In verse 10 in the above scripture concerning the year of Jubilee, it speaks of a
release throughout the land. 10 ‘And you shall set the fiftieth year apart, and proclaim release throughout all the land to all its inhabitants, it is a Jubilee for you. And each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you return to his clan." What is the biggest release that Israel could hope for for themselves? Their best hope is found in the following two scriptures.Jeremiah 23
(3) And I will gather the remnant of MY flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. (4) And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith YAHWEH. (5) Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will raise unto David a Righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. (6) In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall be called, YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (7) Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that they shall no more say, YAHWEH liveth, which brought up the Children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; (8) But, YAHWEH liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the House of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.Jeremiah 31
(31) Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will make a New Covenant with the House of Israel, and with the House of Judah: (32) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which MY Covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHWEH: (33) But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the House of Israel; After those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put MY law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be MY People. (34) And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YAHWEH: for they shall all know ME, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAHWEH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. (35) Thus saith YAHWEH, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; YAHWEH of hosts is His name: (36) If those ordinances depart from before ME, saith YAHWEH, then the Seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before ME for ever. (37) Thus saith YAHWEH; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the Seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith YAHWEH. (38) Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that the City shall be built to YAHWEH from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. (39) And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. (40) And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto YAHWEH; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever. The forgiving of their sins is part of the
rest, release, and especially restoration and being brought under the New Covenant on the Day of Atonement on the tenth day of the seventh month following the second coming of Messiah during a Jubilee year for YAHWEH’s People, Israel. The Day of Atonement is a shadow of that great event! HalleluYAH!!!Now we come to the next two
shadows of things to come.Lev 23:34
"Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Booths for seven days to hvhy. ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. 36 ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to hvhy. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to hvhy. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work. 37 ‘These are the appointed times of hvhy which you proclaim as set-apart gatherings, to bring an offering made by fire to hvhy, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a slaughtering and drink offerings, as commanded for every day –38 besides the Sabbaths of hvhy, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings which you give to hvhy. 39 ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in the fruit of the land, observe the festival of hvhy for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest. 40 ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before hvhy your Elohim for seven days. 41 ‘And you shall observe it as a festival to hvhy for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Observe it in the seventh month. 42 ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native Yisra’ĕlites dwell in booths, 43 so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am hvhy your Elohim.’ " 44 Thus did Mosheh speak of the appointed times of hvhy to the children of Yisra’ĕl.The
Feast of Tabernacles (also called Feast of Ingathering) was an after the harvest feast, a time for celebrating. It is one of three PILGRIMAGE FESTIVALS. (The pilgrimage is to where YAHWEH places HIS name.)Exodus 23
(14) Three times thou shalt keep a FEAST [PILGRIMAGE FESTIVAL-H2287-chagag] unto ME in the year. (15) Thou shalt keep the FEAST [FESTIVAL-H2282-chag] of Unleavened Bread [#I]: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before ME empty (16) And the FEAST [FESTIVAL-H2282-chag] of Harvest, the first-fruits of thy labors [#II], which thou have sown in the field: and the FEAST of Ingathering [#III], which is in the end of the year [agriculture year], when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field. With the
Righteous Remnant of Israel (i.e. the Saints) resurrected on "Memorial of Clamor," commonly called "Feast of Trumpets," at Messiah’s coming and unbelieving Israel being retrieved from captivity back to their own land with their sins forgiven on the Day of Atonement, what an Ingathering to celebrate with rejoicing on the Festival of Ingathering or the Festival of Tabernacles! HalleluYAH!!!I understand that during this time of
celebrating and rejoicing there will be coronations of kings and weddings taking place. Perhaps that is a shadow of the coronations of those who are to receive them, and for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.John tells the seven Assemblies that we will become
Kings.Revelation 1
(4) John to the seven Assemblies which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before HIS throne; (5) And from YAHshua Messiah, Who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His Own blood, (6) And hath made us Kings and Priests unto YAHWEH and His FATHER; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.Revelation 19
(6) And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for YAHWEH Elohim omnipotent reigneth. (7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His Wife hath made herself ready. (8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of Saints. (9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of YAHWEH.Around the same time that all the above is happening another great event takes place that is a cause for rejoicing. Satan is put out of commission for 1,000 years and the resurrected
Saints rule with Messiah for the 1,000 years!Revelation 20 (I) And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
The
Festival of Ingathering or the Festival of Tabernacles is a shadow of the joyous Millennial (1,000 year) Reign of the Saints as Kings and Priests under Messiah. That millennium is the same millennium of which the seventh day Sabbath is a shadow. After man’s self rule has failed him for six millenniums, a Sabbatical Millennium ruled by YAHshua and the Saints will be a true blessing from YAHWEH! HalleluYAH!!!I have good reason to believe that after cleansing of a regathered unbelieving
Israel on that Atonement Day, with their sins removed and with the Torah written in their hearts under the New Covenant that they will, for YAHWEH’s great namesake, fulfil the following scripture during that glorious Sabbatical Millennium.Deuteronomy
28 (I) And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of YAHWEH thy Elohim, to observe and to do all HIS Commandments which I command thee this day, that YAHWEH thy Elohim will set thee on high above all nations of the Earth:Quoting again from Leviticus 23:39 we read:
‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in the fruit of the land, observe the festival of hvhy for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the Eighth Day a rest. That
Eighth Day is generally referred to as "The Last Great Day" and it is the Last Annual Holy Day of the year. Perhaps it is a shadow of the following:At the end of that
Sabbatical Millennium, what is usually referred to as "The Great White Throne Judgment" takes place and death and hell will be destroyed, leaving only those whose names are written in the Book of Life.Revelation 20
(7) And when the thousand years are expired, satan shall be loosed out of his prison, (8) And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog [Ezek. 38:2], to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (9) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from YAHWEH out of Heaven, and devoured them. (10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (11) And I saw a great white throne, and HIM that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the Heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before YAHWEH; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. With the casting of death and hell into the lake of fire, an eternal bliss will be ushered into being. The following looks like an eternal bliss to me.
Revelation 21 (I) And I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth
[Isa. 65:17; 66:22]: for the first Heaven and the first Earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (2) And I John saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down from YAHWEH out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (3) And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of YAHWEH is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS People, and YAHWEH HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their Elohim [Lev. 26:11-12; II Chron. 6:18; Isa. 7:14, 8:8, 10; Jer. 31:33; Ezek. 37:27]. (4) And YAHWEH shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (5) And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And HE said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (6) And HE said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (7) he that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his Elohim, and he shall be MY son. (8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.Looking at the description of the
Holy City, the New Jerusalem, we find that there is no Gentile gate in it! Why is that? The answer to that is in Romans 11:1-32.Revelation 21
(9) And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. (10) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that Great City, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from YAHWEH, (11) Having the glory of YAHWEH: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; (12) And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the Children of Israel: (13) On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. (14) And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb.Summary
Once again, I need to make the following observation: Second to the
Righteousness of YAHWEH and YAHshua, the main focus in the scriptures is the past, present, and future history of the relationship of YAHWEH and His Chosen People, Israel. Israel, includes the Gentiles that joined with them starting with the mixed multitude (Exodus 12:37-38) that came with them out of Egypt. It also includes the Righteous Remnant of Israel with the grafted in Gentiles (Romans 11:1-32). High points of this past, present, and future history of that relationship can be seen in the Seventh Day Sabbath as well as in all of the Annual Holy Days and the related Sabbatical years. Both the
Seventh Day Sabbath and the Annual Holy Days are a sign between YAHWEH and His People, Israel. (Exodus 31:13 & Ezekiel 20:12)Both the
Seventh Day Sabbath and the Annual Holy Days are YAHWEH’s appointed Times for His People, Israel and that He requires of them holy convocations (i.e. set-apart gatherings) and a commanded day of rest on them. (Leviticus 23:1-4) With rest there is restoration of both mind and body. Both the
Seventh Day Sabbath and the Annual Holy Days are shadows of things to come. (Colossians 2:15-16)The
Seventh Day Sabbath is a shadow of the Millennial Reign, which will be a Sabbatical Millennium when all the world will be at rest under the rule of YAHshua and the Saints at which time satan will be put out of commission. (Revelation 20)The
shadow of the entire Passover Festival Season (which includes the Days of Unleavened Bread) was not only of the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of the sinless YAHshua, but it is also a shadow of the Body of Messiah (i.e. the Assembly). They symbolically lay down their lives with Him; are buried with Him in baptism and rise with Him to live their lives without the leavening of sin as we are the Bride being made ready for the Marriage of the Lamb of YAHWEH. That is a future event for all unbelievers who confess their sins and repent.Perhaps the biggest future
shadow of the entire Passover Festival Season (including the Days of Unleavened Bread" will be when the Assembly follows in YAHshua footsteps in the same time frame of a three and one half years of a highly charged ministry ending (Possibly with literal death for some) with the powers that be (i.e. the beast) stopping their ministry at the last Passover Season before YAHshua returns on the "Memorial of Clamor" or as commonly called, the "Feast of Trumpets." I suggest that this is the fulfillment of Revelation 11:1-13. Just like their Master YAHshua, the true Assembly are the ones who have both the LAW and the Testimony and are willing to lay down their lives. (It has been my belief for many decades that the two witness spoken of here is the LAW and the Testimony. Isaiah 8 says, "(16) Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples." … "(20) To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.")(Verses twelve and thirteen suggest that that the Assembly will disappear into heaven (i.e. the air) to be taken elsewhere as happened to Eliyah in 868 BC. (II Kings 2:11) & And was heard from again in 864 BC in II Chronicles 21:12 And there came a writing to him from Eliyah the prophet…. )
Perhaps the
Feast of Weeks is a shadow of the future time when those who become disciples during that three and one half year ministry, that I just mentioned above, will be imbued with an outpouring of YAHWEH’s holy Spirit fifty days latter on the Day of Pentecost just as it was with the first disciples of YAHshua in 31 AD. This would perhaps jumpstart the preparing the for coming together of the unbelieving House of Juda and the unbelieving House of Israel, to fulfil Jeremiah 23:3-8 & 32:31-40.The
Feast of Tabernacles is a shadow (as is the Seventh Day Sabbath) of the Millennial Reign, which will be a Sabbatical Millennium when all the world will be at rest under the rule of YAHshua and the Saints at which time satan will be put out of commission. (Revelation 20)Perhaps
The Last Great Day is a shadow of The Great White Throne Judgment that ushers in an Eternity of Life with YAHWEH and YAHshua for those whose names are written in the Book of Life. HalleluYAH!!!By Thomas "Arkie" Hobbs
