Yahshua was to be called Emmanuel. So many
people have been
led to deny who He is, but this name is quite revealing.
By Jerry Healan
There was a man named Yoseph
who was engaged to marry a young virgin named Miriam. To his horror, he
discovered that she was already with child before they were able to come
together as husband and wife, “Now the birth of Yahshua the Messiah was on
this wise: When as his mother Miriam was espoused to Yoseph, before they came
together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband,
being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to
put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of
Yahweh appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Yoseph, thou son of David, fear not
to take unto thee Miriam thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the
Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name
Yahshua: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken of Yahweh by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin
shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, El with us,”
Mt. 1:18-23.
This author finds it
interesting that there are those supposedly walking in Yahweh’s word who
disbelieve and dispute these verses. There is only one prophet on record who
spoke and wrote concerning this, the Prophet Isaiah. He wrote, “And it came to
pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah,
that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel,
went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim.
And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood
are moved with the wind. Then said Yahweh unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz,
thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in
the highway of the fuller's field; And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet;
fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands,
for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah. Because
Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee,
saying, Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein
for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal: Thus saith
the Sovereign Yahweh, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass. For the
head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within
threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people. And
the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye
will not believe, surely ye shall not be established. Moreover Yahweh spake
again unto Ahaz, saying, Ask thee a sign of Yahweh thy Elohim; ask it either in
the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I
tempt Yahweh. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing
for you to weary men, but will ye weary my Elohim also? Therefore Yawheh himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin
shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose
the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the
good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings,” Isa.
7:1-16.
Notice that Yahweh wanted Ahaz to ask for a sign, but he refused to tempt
Yahweh, so Yahweh gave Him His own sign, a prophecy that would not only be
fulfilled in their day, but one that was to be utilized later in reference to
the birth of Yahshua the Messiah.
THE NAME EMMANUEL
It is interesting concerning
how the name Emmanuel is presented in the book of Isaiah for it is presented
thusly in the Hebrew: la wnm[o. Notice that there is a space between
Emmanu and El.
This name or combinations of
words is mentioned twice in the following chapter of Isaiah, chapter eight,
“Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and
rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son; Now therefore, behold, Yahweh bringeth up
upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria,
and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all
his banks: And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he
shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the
breadth of thy land, O Immanuel [la wnm[].
Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give
ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces;
gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it
shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for El is
with us [la wnm[],” vv. 6-10.
Notice that the exact same
rendering in these verses is tendered the first time as a proper name Immanuel,
but the second time it is interpreted “El is with us.”
WITH US
The term wnm[ (immanu
or emmanu) is utilized time after time to mean “with us.” When Abraham sent
his servant to fetch a wife for Isaac from his relatives, the servant prayed to
Yahweh on behalf of Abraham and while he was praying Rebekah came with a pitcher
to draw water (Gen. 24:1-14). After giving him a drink and then watering his
camels, the servant gave her a gold earring and two gold bracelets and she
identified herself as the daughter of Bethuel and Nahor. She then told the
servant, “She said moreover unto him, we have both straw and provender enough,
and room to lodge in,” Gen. 24:25.
“Enough” is translated from
the Hebrew word wnm[ and should have been translated as “with
us.” This can only mean that they had plenty of straw and provender in their
possession….with them.
In Gen. 26:29 Isaac made a
covenant with (wnm[) Abimelech and Phicol because
they realized that Yahweh was with him. In Ex. 20:19 the people asked Moses to
speak with them (wnm[), but let not Elohim speak with them (wnm[).
Yahweh had Moses build a
tabernacle so that He could live among the Israelites, but after the report of
the spies that went to search out the land, the people were discouraged and
dismayed, refusing to go into the land. Yahweh had His tabernacle removed from
the camp and there was a brief period of estrangement between Yahweh and the
people, but Moses told Yahweh, “For wherein shall it be known here that I and
thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us (wnm[)? so shall we be separated, I and thy people,
from all the people that are upon the face of the earth,” Ex. 33:16.
Moses told the people,
“Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; but with him
that standeth here with us (wnm[) this
day before Yahweh our Elohim, and also with him that
is not here with us (wnm[) this
day,” Dt. 29:14-15.
With all of these examples, the fact of the matter is that the Hebrew
word Immanu or Emmanu primarily means “with us.” Therefore, when Yahshua was
born to Miriam and Yoseph, His name, even though it was to be Yahshua, was
called Immanu El or “With us El.”
WHO IS EL?
It was told to Miriam and
Yoseph that the child’s name would be Yahshua. Why? The angel told Miriam,
“Fear not, Miriam: for thou hast found favour with Elohim.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and
shalt call his name Yahshua. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of
the Highest: and Yahweh Elohim shall give unto him the throne of his father
David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom
there shall be no end,” Lk. 1:30-33.
He told Yoseph, “fear not to
take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy
Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yahshua:
for he shall save his people from their sins,” Mt. 1:20-21.
The name Yahshua is [vwhy in
Hebrew. The shin (v) and ayin ([) have to do with the word
“savior” or “to save.” The yod (y), hei (h), waw (w) are the first three characters found
in the name Yahweh (hwhy).
Now we have to ask the
question, Who is El? The answer is found in the Scriptures, “Then sang Moses
and the children of Israel this song unto Yahweh, and spake, saying, I will sing
unto Yahweh, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he
thrown into the sea. Yahh is my strength and song, and he is become my
salvation: he is my El,
and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's Elohim, and I will exalt him.
Yahweh is a man of war: Yahweh is his name,” Ex. 15:1-3.
Look at the combination of
Hebrew words associated with Yahweh. There is the shortened version of His name
Yahh (Hy). He
is their salvation or yeshuwah (h[wvy). He is their El (la) and
their father’s Elohi (yhla). Yahweh (hwhy) is His name!
Yahweh declared to Isaiah,
“I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and
have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses,
saith Yahweh, that I am El,” Isa. 43:11-12.
Isaiah also writes, “Tell ye,
and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this
from ancient time? Who hath told it from that time? Have not I Yahweh? And there
is no Elohim else beside me; a just El and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am El, and there is none else. I have sworn by
myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return,
that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall one
say, in Yahweh have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come;
and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In Yahweh shall all the
seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory,” Isa. 45:21-25.
Obviously, from these Scriptures we are able to understand that Yahweh is
El, as well as Savior. The name Yahshua means “the salvation of Yahweh” or
it can be interpreted as “Yahweh the Savior.”
Emmanuel or Immanuel means “with us El,” or “El is with us.”
Yahshua came to save His people. Who are His people? Israel and Judah. He also
came to save the Gentiles, by grafting them into Himself.
THE TABERNACLE
As stated above, the tabernacle
was built in the wilderness so that Yahweh could dwell with, among His people,
the children of Israel, descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As long as that
tabernacle was in the midst of the children of Israel, the great El Yahweh was
with His people, which would have been
expressed as la wnm[
(Emmanu El).
The tabernacle itself was a
type of Yahshua the Messiah. Messiah means “anointed.” The whole tabernacle
with its appurtenances along with the priesthood, were “anointed.” A study
into the tabernacle is quite a revelation in itself.
The Levitical priesthood was a
temporary physical type of the eternal heavenly Melchizedek priesthood of which
Yahshua is the High Priest. The sacrifices were a temporary physical type of the
greater “one sacrifice” of Yahshua the Messiah for all eternity (Heb.
9:10-14, 28, 10:9-12). The compound of the tabernacle was surrounded by white
linen, which was a type of the righteousness of the saints (Rev. 19:8). Yahshua
is our righteousness (Ro. 5:17-18, 10:4; 1 Cor. 1:30; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 1:11,
3:9; 1 Pet. 2:24; 2 Pet. 1:1).
There was only one opening to
the compound, one opening to the sanctuary and one opening to the holy of
holies. Yahshua proclaimed that He is the door (Jn. 10). No one can come before
the Father except through Him (Jn. 14:6). Therefore, the openings were types of
Him. The altar of sacrifice where the sacrifices were performed and burnt was a
type of His sacrifice. The brazen laver filled with water was a type of Him in
His work of cleansing us of our sins. The menorah (lampstand) was a type of Him
in His capacity of being the light of the sanctuary and our light (Jn. 8:12,
9:5). The table of showbread had twelve loaves of bread, one for each tribe of
Israel, which the priests ate of on every Sabbath day. This is a type of those
who are His, His priests, who are to teach of Him Who is the true bread from
heaven (Jn. 6), the sustenance of His people Israel.
The ark of the covenant was the
seat, the throne upon which Yahweh sat in the holy of holies. It contained the
tables of the covenant or the ten commandments. This foretold that only Yahweh
has the power over the commandments, which reverts back to Yahshua once again as
our righteousness.
Of course, there are far deeper
meanings and understandings than we have been able to present here, but these
are summaries of the tabernacle, the priesthood and the appurtenances, all types
of Yahshua the Messiah, who eventually came and TABERNACLED with His people,
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt (TABERNACL-ED) among us (wnm[),
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth,” Jn. 1:14. When He came, then the prophecy of
Emmanuel/Immanuel was fulfilled. El was with His people in the person of Yahshua
the Messiah.
While Yahshua was on the earth,
He was a tabernacle for the Heavenly Father. He said, I and my Father are
one,” Jn. 10:30. He said, Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me,
he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the
very works' sake….Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye
see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am
in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you,” Jn. 14:10-11, 19-20.
Amazingly, those who have the
Holy Spirit in today’s world are now temporary physical tabernacles wherein
the Father and the Son dwell! Yahshua prayed, “Neither pray I for these alone,
but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and
I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe
that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them;
that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them,
and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the
world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved
me,” Jn. 17:20-23.
Those in whom Yahshua and the Father have made their abode are living
stones that will soon be gathered together into a glorious spiritual temple in
Jerusalem during the kingdom age (1 Pet. 2:1-10).
THE WORD EL
I can’t close this article
until I exhibit the ancient meaning of the Hebrew word El. The Paleo-Hebrew
presents the word El thusly, la (Hebrew reads from right to
left so the word is reversed in that language. The aleph (a/a) is an hieroglyphic for the head of an ox
and principally means head,
chief leader or even first since it is
the first letter of the alphabet and is also stands for the number one.
The lamed (l/l) is an hieroglyphic for a
cattle goad or shepherd’s rod, which stands for control, authority,
or even the tongue. It also has to do with one who is a teacher.
So many people, when they come
to the words God, El, Elohim, etc. will just say “the Mighty One,” or “the
Mighty Ones” (Elohim is the plural of El). Now the head or the chief leader
over others is their master. The question now is, Is Yahshua your Master? He
certainly was addressed as Master by the disciples and others. At the last meal,
Yahshua washed the feet of His disciples and told them, “Ye call me Master and Teacher:
and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Teacher and Master, have washed your feet; ye
also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye
should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his Master;
neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him,” Jn. 13:13-16.
What does this mean? Firstly,
El means that He is a CHIEF SHEPHERD! Who is your Chief Shepherd? We know that
Yahweh was David’s Shepherd (Psa. 23:1) and also Israel’s Shepherd (Psa.
80:1). Yahshua revealed that He is the Shepherd, “I am the good shepherd: the
good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not
the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth
the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the
sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the
Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the
sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must
bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one
shepherd,” Jn. 10:11-16.
It is also written, “Now the
Elohim of peace, that brought again from the dead our Master Yahshua, that great
shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you
perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is
wellpleasing in his sight, through Yahshua the Messiah; to whom be glory for
ever and ever. Amen,” Heb. 13:20-21.
The Apostle Peter writes,
“For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and
Bishop of your souls,” 1 Pet. 2:24.
Again, he wrote, “The elders
which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the
sufferings of the Messiah, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be
revealed: Feed the flock of Elohim which is among you, taking the oversight
thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready
mind; Neither as being lords over Elohim’s heritage, but being ensamples to
the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd
shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away 1 Pet.
5:1-4.
Who is going to appear? Isn’t
it Yahshua? Peter is calling Him the Chief Shepherd, the very terms that we get
from the Hebrew word EL!
El also has to do with the head or chief teacher, because the lamed also
has to do with the word lamad, to teach. Yahshua was the great, head, chief
teacher. His followers are called His disciples (learners). Yahshua is El!
ALEPH AND TAU
Furthermore, Yahshua revealed
Himself as the Aleph and Tau, the First and Last, “I was in the Spirit on the
day of Yahweh, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am
*Aleph and Tau, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book,
and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto
Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto
Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spake with
me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the
seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man,
clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden
girdle. His head and his hairs were
white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his
feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the
sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his
mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in
his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his
right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore,
Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death,” Rev. 1:11-18.
He declared to the Smyrna
Assembly, “And unto the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write; These things
saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is
alive,” Rev. 2:8.
Later He
said, “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Aleph and Tau, the beginning and the end. I will
give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely,”
Rev. 21:6.
Finally,
He again states, “I am Aleph
and Tau, the beginning and the end, the first and the last,” Rev. 22:13.
The first
and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet are the aleph and the tau. Yahshua was
speaking in the Hebrew language to the Apostle John, a Hebrew. Aleph and Tau in
Hebrew would appear as twa. In the more
ancient Pictorial-Hebrew it would have been represented as tfa. Again, the aleph (a) is the head of an ox or
a head or chief leader. The waw (f) is a conjunction, such as the word “and”, but it also symbolizes a nail or tent peg. Finally, the tau (t) is in the form of a cross, which also stands for a sign, name, covenant, etc.
The Hebrew word for “sign”
is owth (tfa). Yahweh gave us the sign that our Chief Leader, our Head, our Chief Shepherd, our El Who came to dwell with us (Emmanu El) was
to be nailed to the cross!
THE NAME
One of the
chief identities of the Father and the Son is their name Yahweh. It is stated
twice that no one had seen nor heard the voice of the Father at any time, “No
man hath seen Elohim at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom
of the Father, he hath declared him,” Jn. 1:18.
Yahshua
also declared, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of
Yahweh. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father,
cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of
Yahweh, he hath seen the Father,” Jn. 6:45-46.
John also
writes, “No man hath seen Yahweh at any time. If we love one another, Yawheh
dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us,” 1 Jn. 4:12.
What this
means is that no one has seen the Heavenly Father Yahweh at any time. The One
Who was the Word of Yahweh, Who became Yahshua the Messiah, is the One Who has
always dealt with mankind.
Let’s
look at the Hebrew names Yahweh and Yahshua to see what the hieroglyphs say
about them. The name Yahweh is efei in the earlier Semitic Hebrew. I is a hand, e means behold, revelation, f is a nail and e is behold, revelation. In the English we would say, behold (the) hand, behold
(the) nail. This is what Yahshua told the Apostle Thomas, “But Thomas, one of
the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Yahshua came. The other
disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Master. But he said unto
them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger
into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not
believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with
them: then came Yahshua, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not
faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Master and
my El,” Jn. 20:24-28.
When
Thomas placed his finger into the hands where the nails had been driven, then it
revealed to him who Yahshua truly was and He declared it.
The name
Yahshua means the Salvation of Yahweh or Yahweh the Savior. When we look at the
hieroglyphics that make up His name in the capacity of Savior much more is
revealed. The Pictorial-Hebrew for Yahshua is osfei. Once again, the I equals hand, e equals behold, revelation, f equals nail, s equals teeth (for consumption or even destruction), and o equals fountain, well, eye, etc.
Yahshua
declared, “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Yahshua stood and
cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that
believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers
of living water. (But this spake he
of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy
Spirit was not yet given; because that Yahshua was not yet glorified.)
Once He
was glorified by being lifted up on the cross, having nails driven through His
hands, then He could send the Holy Spirit to those who believe on Him. He became
the fountain of living water of which we can now consume. Thus we have hand I, e behold, f nail (driven through the hand), drink or consume s of the fountain o of living waters. This is the pictorial meaning of the name Yahshua.
What else
did Yahshua say? “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Aleph and Tau (tfa/owth), the
beginning and the end. I will give
unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely,” Rev. 21:6.
This is the sign that He gave.
The head, the chief leader, the heavenly El emptied Himself of the power and
glory that He had, became a man, tabernacled among us, was sacrificed by being
nailed to the cross so that we can now freely drink of the fountain of living
waters.
THE FUTURE FULFILLMENT
When Yahweh’s plan of salvation is completed through Yahshua the
Messiah, then the Father and the Son will dwell with all mankind, “And I saw a
new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed
away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from Elohim out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of El is with men,
and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people, and El himself
shall be with them, and be their Elohim,” Rev. 21:1-3.
This will then be the ultimate meaning of the name Immanuel/Emmanuel. The name or title Emmanuel will continue for all eternity. May Yahweh speed that day.
Today’s world is in a chaotic mess. Look at what is
happening to us in America. With the national debt at $11 trillion and rising by
an estimated nine trillion dollars in the next ten years to $20 trillion, how
can we ever get out of debt? Even attempting to pay the debt off, according to
one politician, would take 35,000 years! What is the answer to our increasing
problems and mounting debt?
By Jerry Healan
Scripture reveals that the borrower is servant to the
lender, “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the
lender,” Prov. 22:7.
Does this not explain why our politicians are the way they are today?
Supposedly they are voted into office in order to serve the people, but how do
they acquire their office? It takes massive funds to run a campaign for office.
Those massive funds come from the rich. Thus, the politicians are telling the
people one thing in order to acquire their votes and obtain office, but they are
really the servants of the rich and special interests. That is why so many
people have to continue to be watchdogs concerning various bills that are being
introduced as well as the attached riders. The legislators continually try to
sneak bills through that are detrimental to the people and the country.
The proposed legislation on the current health bill is a case in point.
The bill consists of more than 1,000 pages (it continues to grow) that none of
the legislators have read, yet the overall majority is ready to pass it unread.
This is preposterous! This proposed bill has caused a storm of controversy
because there are always those who want something for nothing, yet those who
have an inkling of intelligence realize that it is just another tool for
enslavement and the destruction of this country as we know it.
Shouldn’t people be very wary of their leaders? Especially since most
of them are quite willing to destroy you while you are in the womb, yet when
born, they put on airs of caring for the children so they can control you from
the cradle to the grave.
The private sector is in even deeper debt. Sources reveal that the
private debt has soared to the tune of $46 trillion. America, supposedly the
richest nation on earth, is the greatest borrower and is living on debt like a
junkie on dope. Even if a family appears to be debt free, their own government
has shackled them with thousands of dollars in debt. Our future generations are
also sold into slavery by the actions of yesterday’s and today’s parents.
Much of the debt that we owe has been bought by those who hate us and
desire to destroy us. Let’s take, for instance, China, and the super wealthy
sheiks of the Muslim world. Remember, the borrower is servant (slave) to the
lender. Borrowing also has to do with the charging of interest, or usury, which
is rather odious to Yahweh, “If thou lend money to any of my people that is
poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon
him usury,” Ex. 22:25. “And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in
decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a
sojourner; that he may live with thee. Take thou no usury of him, or increase:
but fear thy Elohim; that thy brother may live with thee. Thou shalt not give
him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase. I am Yahweh
your Elohim, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the
land of Canaan, and to be your Elohim,” Lev. 25:35-38. “Thou shalt not lend
upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing
that is lent upon usury: Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto
thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that Yahweh thy Elohim may bless
thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to
possess it,” Dt. 23:19-20.
Notice that Yahweh forbade usury between the Israelites, but did allow
them to charge usury for the strangers or non-Hebrews. Most people do not
understand what is going on in today’s world, but the ones who are in control
of the banking system are primarily Jewish, while America is populated with the
descendants of the house of Israel (Ephraim and Manasseh along with others),
thus the usury system is forbidden by Yahweh.
Some may dispute the background
of these Jewish bankers, but if they declare themselves to be Jewish, then they
are making themselves the descendants of Israel and are going against Yahweh’s
commands if they charge their Israelite brothers usury or interest.
DEBT AND SIN
In the model prayer of the books of Matthew and Luke, sin is likened to
debt, “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors,” Mt. 6:12….
“And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to
us,” Lk. 11:4.
Just look at us in this country, and even in the world. We are drowning
in debt and also in our sins. We continue to live like our first parents Adam
and Eve. They are the ones who took of the forbidden fruit imbibing it into the
flesh and bringing sin, lawlessness, corruption, iniquity, and death into the
world, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law
sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless
death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the
similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to
come,” Ro. 5:12-14.
We and our leaders are following in the footsteps of the first man and
woman not only to sell ourselves, but our future generations into debt and sin
that none of us have the ability to repay nor absolve.
The Psalmist is led to declare, “They that trust in their wealth, and
boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means
redeem his brother, nor give to Elohim a ransom for him: (For the redemption of
their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) That he should still live for
ever, and not see corruption. For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool
and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward
thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places
to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. Nevertheless
man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish,” Psa.
49:6-12.
No man can redeem his brother,
or even himself, from death. The price of redemption is absolutely too costly.
If a man owned all of the world, he still could not redeem anyone else, nor
himself from death, which is the wages of sin (Ro. 6:23).
RETURN TO EGYPT
The Egyptians originally enslaved the Israelites through a type of
taxation, “Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are
more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they
multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join
also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
Therefore they did set
over them taskmasters to afflict them with their
burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and
Raamses,” Ex. 1:8-11.
The Hebrew words for “taskmasters” is sar mac. Sar
has to do with one who is chief, master, governor, lord, master, etc. Mac is defined as; a burden (as causing to
faint), i.e. a tax in the form of forced labor.
(Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)
An income tax is a form of forced labor. One has to pay a certain amount
of money to his lord, the government for the right to work. A tax on the homes
and land, in reality, reveals that one does not truly own his own property, but
must pay for the right to have property and even have and live in a dwelling on
that property. He must pay taxes on that property or it will be seized by his
master, the government and sold to another who will pay for the right to own it.
A quick look at our dollar bill, the basic foundation of our money,
declares the truth. On the back of the dollar bill is the depiction of the great
pyramid of Egypt with the all seeing eye of Horus hovering above it. At the
bottom we read novus ordo
seclorum, which means new secular order. At the top is annuit coeptis. This is a Latin phrase. We
get our word annuity (payment) from this Latin word. Coeptis is an ancient term for Egypt. (Remember
the Copts and the Coptic Church?)
The problem is that ever since their deliverance from Egypt, the
Scriptures reveal that Israel has always sought to return to Egypt. The Prophet
Isaiah is inspired to cry out, “Woe to the rebellious children, saith Yahweh,
that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my
spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have
not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in
the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be
your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion. For his princes
were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes. They were all ashamed of a
people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and
also a reproach. The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble
and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying
serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and
their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit
them. For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I
cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still. Now go, write it before
them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for
ever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that
will not hear the law of Yahweh: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the
prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things,
prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the
Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of
Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness,
and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to
fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in
pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of
it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the
pit,” Isa. 30:1-14.
What does this mean? Even though this country is filled with
multitudinous copies of Scriptures, the people can’t stand the true name of
their Creator Yahweh, nor the true name of the Savior Yahshua. They don’t even
want to hear from the section that is called the Old Testament, but rather
falsely claim that they are believers in the New Testament. They cast the Old
Testament behind. But Yahweh’s word is a sharp two-edged sword. Thus, we
should pay attention to all of it for instruction in truth and righteousness.
Both houses of Israel have
returned to Egypt. Yahweh warned that He would take His name out of the mouth of
every man of Judah who goes to dwell in Egypt. To modern day Judaism, to speak
the name of their Elohim is an abomination. Neither does the house of Joseph
care for Yahweh’s memorial name. How long will this continue? The answer is
given to Isaiah, “And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but
understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this
people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and
convert, and be healed. Then said I, Sovereign, how long? And he answered, Until
the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the
land be utterly desolate, And Yahweh have removed men far away, and there be a
great forsaking in the midst of the land,” Isa. 6:9-12.
IDOLATRY
When Moses went up into the mount to receive the tables of the covenant,
during the forty days that he was there, the Israelites had Aaron fashion a
golden calf to worship it and celebrate a festival (Ex. 32). Scripture says that
Israel sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play (Ex. 32:6). It also says
that Aaron made them naked (v. 25).
This is all typology. The people were regressing into idolatry, the
idolatry of Egypt where the Apis bull calf was worshipped and Pharaoh was
worshipped as the son of Elohim. Believe it or not, the same thing applies in
our own age. Moses was a type of Yahshua. Moses told the children of Israel,
“Yahweh thy Elohim will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee,
of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken,” Dt. 18:15.
When Moses returned from the mount (a type of Yahweh’s government), he
saw what the children of Israel were doing, he cast the tables of the covenant
to the ground breaking them (Ex. 32:19). This means that the covenant made with
Israel was already broken, which opened the door for the better covenant that
Yahshua the Messiah would eventually bring in.
Moses burned the golden calf, ground it to powder, strewed it upon the
water and made the children of Israel drink of it (Ex. 32:20). Again, this is
typology. Because of the broken covenant, Moses had to give the people over to
the spirit of idolatry. This spirit of idolatry for both of the houses of
Israel, the house of Joseph (Israel) and the house of Judah continues unto this
day.
The same thing has happened to the believers in Yahshua the Messiah. The
head (Constantine) of the beast kingdom (Rome) entered into the remnant
believers early in the fourth century (about 325 CE), took over as its Pontifex Maximus,
and decreed his own authority. He changed so many, many things. He forbade any
Hebrew New Testament writings on pain of torture and death, authorizing only the
Greek language. The name of the Savior was changed, as well as, the Sabbath from
the seventh day to the first day of the week (Sunday), the pagan festivals
Easter and Christmas were substituted for the feasts of Yahweh (Lev. 23).
Furthermore, a research into
the modern day word God is quite revealing. Research reveals that it is
associated with a molten image and is also related to Taurus the bull. Thus, the
modern day believers are found to be in the same state of affairs that Israel
was when Moses descended the mount. When Yahshua returns, He will find His
followers in the same sorry state of affairs. You may deny this and become angry
with this author, but the truth is the truth.
ISRAEL’S RESTORATION
Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom of Babylon began a period of rule by the
Gentile (non-Hebrew) peoples. Their mighty ones were not Yahweh; they worshipped
pagan deities. We are still in the times of the Gentiles and will continue to be
until Yahshua returns.
The disciples understood that Yahshua came in order to restore the houses
of Israel. They asked Him, “When they therefore were come together, they asked
of him, saying, Master, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the
times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they
beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight,” Acts
1:6-9.
Peter was inspired to cry out, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come
from the presence of Yahweh; And he shall send Yahshua the Messiah, which before
was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things,
which Yahweh hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world
began,” Acts 3:19-21.
When will the times of refreshing come? This is revealed in the word
“refreshing.” Refreshing is translated from the Greek word anapsuxis, which is defined as; a
recovery of breath, i.e. (figuratively) revival. A recovery of breath has to do
with resurrection. Peter is speaking of the coming resurrection of the house of
Israel.
“Restitution” is translated from the Greek word apokatastasis, which is defined as;
reconstitution. It is taken from another Greek word apokathistemi, which is defined as; to
reconstitute (in health, home or organization).
What is this speaking about?
There is an event found in Scripture that had to do with the restoration of the
house of Israel back to their original status. If they had sold their land it
was restored to them on this day. If they had any debts then their debts were
forgiven. If they had sold themselves into slavery, then they were to be set
free. This day was the day and year of Jubilee!
ATONEMENT AND JUBILEE
Yahweh commanded Israel to observe certain feast days or appointments
during the year. One of those days was the day of atonement on the tenth day of
the seventh month. (Lev. 23:26-32)
The day of atonement began a count wherein the Israelites were to count
six years and in the seventh year they were to allow the land to rest. This is
likened unto the seven day week that Yahweh initiated. Man is to work for six
days and rest on the seventh day Sabbath.
They were to rest for seven Sabbaths of years and in the fiftieth year
they were to proclaim a year of release, “And thou shalt number seven sabbaths
of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths
of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. Then shalt thou cause the
trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the
day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. And
ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land
unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall
return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his
family. A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow,
neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of
thy vine undressed. For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall
eat the increase thereof out of the field. In the year of this jubilee ye shall
return every man unto his possession,” Lev. 25:8-13.
This day of atonement wherein the jubilee is declared is a type of the
future restoration of the house of Israel to the kingdom. The times of the
Gentiles will have ceased. The great King of Israel, the King of kings and
Sovereign of sovereigns will be reigning and ruling on this earth. It will be a
time of true liberty, peace and prosperity.
The Prophet Ezekiel speaks of this future restoration in chapter 37.
Ezekiel is shown a valley of dry bones. Yahweh told Ezekiel, “Then he said
unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they
say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Sovereign Yahweh; Behold, O
my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves,
and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am Yahweh, when
I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your
own land: then shall ye know that I Yahweh have spoken it, and performed it,
saith Yahweh,” Ez. 37:11-14.
This
is the true time of the hope of the whole world. Today’s leaders and great men
and women are seeking their own power, honor, glory, and riches. Their purpose
is to burden the people with the slavery of debt not only for this generation,
but all future generations. They do not realize that their time of ill gotten
gain is soon to be over. Your hope, my hope, and the hope of the whole world is
for the coming fulfillment that is revealed through the Day of Atonement. It is
a shadow of a future event that is much closer to us than ever before.
Yahweh’s word is sure. Yahweh’s word is truth. Look to Yahweh and His plan
as revealed in His annual holy days and you will find a greater purpose, peace,
faith and confidence that will see you through the coming times of trouble that
are swiftly descending upon this nation and the whole world.
DECEPTION
By
Zac Poonen with additional comments by Jerry Healan
In 2 Thess. 2: 9,10 we read that the Antichrist will deceive the
world through "lying signs and wonders and the deception of
wickedness". Supernatural miracles have a great capacity to deceive people.
We have seen many instances of heathen religious leaders who have built up a
following for themselves through doing miracles by Satanic power.
Supernatural miracles and healings however, are also a part of the
equipment that God has given to His church, to fulfil its task on earth. Jesus,
Peter and Paul did miracles of such magnitude, such as are not even heard of
today. This was because of their faith. The accounts in the 'Acts of the
Apostles' are a standing rebuke to the smallness of our own faith today. A
church without the gifts of the Spirit is like a man, who though alive, is yet
blind, dumb, deaf and paralysed, according to 1 Cor. 12 (where the gifts are
compared to the eyes, ear, hand, etc). We do not want to be like those
unbelieving believers who say that the age of miracles has passed. That age has
certainly passed for them, because of their unbelief! - but not for those who
believe.
However, this does not mean that everyone who does miracles in the name of Jesus can be followed blindly. There are many who do such miracles, who will finally be rejected and cast out by the Lord Himself! (Matt. 7:22,23). Why then does God allow such people to do miracles in Jesus' name? The answer is given us clearly in Deut. 13:1-5. God allows it in order to test us to see whether we will be led astray by signs and wonders, or whether we will follow the plain commands of Scripture. It is important therefore to make sure that your spiritual leader is not one who will himself be cast out by the Lord in the final day.
(Read Rev. 13:13,14 carefully at this point to see how the false prophet - who
looks like a lamb (Rev. 13:11), a disciple of Jesus - deceives people through
signs and wonders!). How then shall we keep ourselves from being deceived?
Ask yourself the following questions and you will get the answer:
1. Is his life and ministry leading people to be free from sin's power, or only to the forgiveness of sins? Does he emphasise purity of heart and life?
2. Is he a humble, self-effacing
man, like Jesus and the apostles were? Or is he interested in projecting
himself, making you dependent on him, his advice and his prophecies, so that you
cannot be connected to Christ as your Head? Does he have the spirit of a servant
or of a boss who gives orders to others around him?
3. Have you found an honesty and a sincerity in his life - an uprightness
and straightforwardness - particularly in money matters? (Beware of those who
are always interested in your tithes and offerings).
Jesus, Peter and Paul would pass the test, but not many preachers and
so-called "healers" today. Through the spirit of the Antichrist, Satan
has polluted Christendom. May God raise up many with the power of the
apostles to drive out this spirit from the churches .
COMMENTS BY JERRY HEALAN
It is so true that the characteristics of the Anti-Christ is deception.
Deception, of course, has to do with lies, un-truths, falsehoods.
There are so many untruths in people's faith and ways today that they can
no longer understand nor accept the truth.
Here are some falsehoods that are upheld as truths in today's world.
1. The name of the Creator is God. This is a falsehood. The name of the
Creator is Yahweh.
2. The name of the Savior is Jesus. This is a falsehood. The name of the
Savior is Yahshua, equivalent to our Joshua.
3. December 25th is the Savior's birthday. This is a falsehood. He was
born when shepherds were tending their flocks in the field. It was too cold for
the shepherds and their flocks to be in the field after October or before March.
Most people profess that He was born in the fall when the fall feasts were being
observed (Lev. 23)
4. Sunday is the true day of worship. This is a falsehood. Our Creator
Yahweh commanded the seventh day Sabbath. Constantine the Great, emperor of
Rome, the fourth kingdom of Daniel 2 and the fourth great and terrible beast of
Daniel 7, is the one who commanded Sunday to be observed in honor of Sol
Invictus or the unconquered sun.
5. You have an immortal soul. This is a falsehood. Scriptures says,
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die."
6. The Creator is a trinity. The modern version of the trinity is a
falsehood. There is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but Spirit in Hebrew is Ruach
and in Greek is Pneuma. It is also translated as breath. We have the spirit in
man, or spirit of man, which means we simply have breath that was passed down
from Adam. Through this spirit or breath of or in man, we can understand the
things of a man, but we must have the Holy Spirit to be able to understand
spiritual things. When we repent and are baptized in the true name of the
Savior, then we are given an earnest of the Holy Spirit so we can begin to grow
in understanding of spiritual things.
7. The law is done away. This is a falsehood. If the law is done away
then I don't have to worship and serve only Yahweh. I can worship and serve any
god or deity that I very well please. I can make an image of that god and fall
down and worship it. I can take His name in vain. I don't have to keep the
Sabbath. I no longer have to honor my father and mother. I can kill or murder
anyone that I very well desire to. I can cohabit with any woman that I desire,
if she does also. I can steal whatever I want. I can covet. The New Testament or
Covenant is that Yahweh is going to write His law on the hearts of His people
and then they will obey Him.
8. The wicked will burn forever in the lake of fire. This is a falsehood.
Fire consumes to ashes. Malachi speaks of the wicked being reduced to ashes
under the feet of the righteous. The lake of fire in the book of Revelation is
said to be the second death, not life forever in the lake of fire. Death is the
cessation of life.
9. The reward of the saved is heaven. Yahshua said that the meek will
inherit the earth. The book of Revelation shows the city of Yahweh being brought
down from heaven to earth. The place to be in the future is the earth, the
dwelling place of the Creator.
10. The Savior died on a Friday and was resurrected on a Sunday which is
commemorated by Easter. This is a falsehood. Firstly, Yahshua said that He would
be in the grave for three days and three nights. You can't get three days and
nights from Friday sunset to Sunday morning. That is only two nights and one
day. He died on a Wednesday, which was Passover day when the Passover lambs were
slain. He was resurrected in the late evening of the Sabbath just before the
beginning of the first day of the week (Sunday to today's world). Easter has to
do with the ancient goddess Ishtar/Astarte also known as the queen of heaven.
She has nothing to do with Yahweh, Yahshua nor their plan of salvation.
Look at the other
falsehoods associated with December 25th. Santa Claus, eight reindeer, north
pole. Are these truths?
Look at the other falsehoods associated with Easter. A bunny rabbit that
brings eggs. These are ancient pagan fertility symbols.
Yes, the characteristics of the Anti-Christ, Anti-Messiah are deception,
falsehoods, untruths. They are being employed on a daily, weekly, monthly,
annual basis and the world loves it all. One must repent of these falsehoods,
these deceptions if he is ever going to come to the knowledge of the truth.
We hope that this gives you a better picture and understanding concerning just who the false messiah, the anti-messiah, anti-christ is.
